Chapter 1 The Fun They Had

This is a story written by Issac Asimov. It tells us about two young children named Margie, an eleven-year-old girl and Tommy, a thirteen-year-old boy, who lived in 2157. The story opened when Margie was entering her diary that Tommy had found a printed book. They realised that the book belonged to their grandfather, who had gone to school and taught by human teachers. But Margie and Tommy lived in the future world where education was completely computerised. They both wondered at the book found by Tommy in his attic. The pages of the book have turned yellow and wrinkled. When they start reading the book, the words and pages were not moving like that on a computer screen. Finally, they thought it was of no use once the book was read and thrown away. They hated that book because it was about school, and they hate school as well.  But they wondered how much fun it would be studying in a school with other children and that too from human teachers.
